As Europe's leading vehicle remarketing company selling in excess of 1 million vehicles annually, BCA continuously and rigorously reviews its operations to ascertain where there is likely to be an environmental impact. BCA has a strategy in place (the BCA Environmental Management System) to assess the company's environmental impact under four broad headings: Emissions to the air, releases to the water, waste management and use of raw Materials and natural resources. Each area has been specifically assessed to determine in detail the extent of the environmental impact and how BCA can mitigate any impact as a result. To reach these environmental objectives and generate continuous improvement, BCA seeks to gain commitment from all employees within the company to adhere to the tenets of the Environmental Management System. To maintain momentum and deliver BCA's agreed objectives, a Director and the Group Health and Safety Manager are designated “Environmental Champions' and spearhead the implementation of the Environmental Management System.
