Vindi BangaPartner

Mr. Banga joined CD&R's London office in 2010 after a 33-year career at Unilever, where he served as executive board member and President of Global Foods, Home & Personal Care. He led the creation of a 'One Unilever' agenda for the Foods, Home & Personal Care category organization, responsible for innovation and marketing mix development across 170 countries for all 270 Unilever brands, and he was responsible for Unilever's sustainability agenda. Previously, Mr. Banga served as President, Home & Personal Care Asia and as chairman and Managing Director of Unilever's operating company in India, Hindustan Unilever Ltd. Mr. Banga played the lead operating role on CD&R's investments in Diversey and Mauser Group and helped establish the Firm's joint venture in India. He served on the Prime Minister of India's Council of Trade & Industry from 2004 to 2014. Mr. Banga serves on the board of the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), and is a senior independent director on the boards of Marks and Spencer plc and GlaxoSmithKline plc. Mr. Banga was appointed chairman of Marie Curie in 2018.

Mr. Berges joined the Firm in 2006 and is a member of the Investment Committee. Previously, he served as vice chairman and President at Emerson Electric Co., where he led corporate growth and development activities and was responsible for the Company’s motors and appliance components, industrial automation, and network power businesses. Prior to Emerson, he worked at General Electric Company. Mr. Berges served as chairman of Sally Beauty Holdings from 2006 to 2012, chairman of HD Supply from 2007 to 2014, chairman of Hussmann International from 2011 to 2016, and director of Diversey from 2009 to 2011, during CD&R’s investments in those companies. He is a director of PPG Industries, Inc. and former chairman of the National Association of Manufacturers. Mr. Berges received a presidential appointment to the Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations in 2005.

Mr. Compton became a CD&R Partner in 2015 after serving as an Operating Advisor since 2013. Mr. Compton is a 29-year veteran and former President of PepsiCo, Inc. and former chairman of US Foods. Mr. Compton’s career at PepsiCo started at Frito-Lay in 1983. In 2002, after serving in positions of increasing responsibility in a variety of operational and sales capacities, he was appointed vice chairman and President of Frito-Lay North America. Mr. Compton went on to serve as CEO of PepsiCo Americas Foods, which included Frito-Lay North America, Quaker Oats brands, and all of PepsiCo’s Latin American food and snack businesses. Mr. Compton is the former CEO of Pilot Flying J Corporation. He serves on the boards of First Horizon National Corporation and The University of Tennessee, and was previously on the board of The Pepsi Bottling Group, Inc. In 2009, he was named a “CEO of Tomorrow” by BusinessWeek.

Mr. Conway is vice chairman of CD&R, a member of the Management Committee, and the chairman of the Firm’s Investment Committee, which evaluates all potential new investments. He served as Managing Partner of CD&R from 2004 to 2015. Throughout his 24 years at the Firm, Mr. Conway has been active in many of the Firm’s investments and organizational initiatives and works closely with the Chief Executive Officer on all aspects of the Firm’s operations. Previously, Mr. Conway was a senior member of the mergers and acquisitions department of Goldman Sachs & Co. and later, Chief of Staff of the investment banking division.

Mr. Fradin joined CD&R in 2016. He served as President and CEO at SunGard Data Systems, a $3 billion software and IT services provider with 15,000 customers across more than 70 countries from 2011 until the company’s acquisition by FIS in 2015. Prior to SunGard, he served as the chairman and CEO of Aon Hewitt, a global leader in human resource solutions. During his tenure, Mr. Fradin oversaw the 2010 merger between Aon Consulting and Hewitt Associates, having been CEO of Hewitt since 2006. Previously, he was CEO of BISYS Group, Inc. and held a range of senior executive positions at Automatic Data Processing, both providers of business outsourcing solutions. He worked many years as a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, where he was a Senior Partner. Mr. Fradin is lead independent director of Best Buy Co., Inc. and serves on the boards of TransUnion and Hamilton Insurance Group.

Mr. Franco joined CD&R in 2006 after advising the Firm for 15 years. He is responsible for managing relationships with critical external stake-holders, including limited partners. He leads the fundraising team and is involved in related capital access activities. He serves on the boards of the Private Capital Research Institute, a not-for-profit corporation focused on advancing the understanding of private capital’s role in the global economy, and Privcap, a producer of online content for participants in private capital markets. Previously, Mr. Franco served as chairman and CEO of Broadgate Consultants, an advisor to private equity managers, which he founded in 1987 in conjunction with U.K.-based securities firm, Hoare Govett. He has successfully launched a global publishing business, PEI Media, serving the alternative asset industry and, earlier, practiced corporate law.

Donald J. GogelChairman and Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Gogel is in his 30th year with the Firm and has served as Chief Executive Officer since 1998 and Chairman since 2012. He is a member of the Investment and Management Committees and plays an active role in shaping the Firm’s strategy, recruiting talent, sourcing new investment opportunities, negotiating transactions, and helping to lead key internal processes, including portfolio company operating reviews and CEO roundtables. Earlier in his career with CD&R, Mr. Gogel led several investments that established the Firm’s reputation for navigating and completing complex carve-outs from major corporations, including the Lexmark International acquisition from IBM, which was named by Private Equity International as one of the 30 most influential private equity deals of all time. Other notable transactions were divestitures from Phillip Morris/Kraft (Alliant Foods), General Motors (Allison Engine), Gillette (Jafra Cosmetics), Xerox (Van Kampen), and Westinghouse (WESCO). He previously was a Partner at McKinsey & Company, Inc. and a Managing Director at Kidder, Peabody & Company, Inc. where he founded and led its Merchant Banking Group.

Ms. Griffiths is a 22-year veteran of PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she was a partner in the U.S. deal practice specializing in financial due diligence. She participated in over 150 transactions, spending a majority of her time advising private equity firms and Fortune 500 companies across a wide variety of industries.

Mr. Krenicki joined CD&R in 2013 after a 29-year career at the General Electric Company. He is a former vice chairman of GE and former President and CEO of GE Energy. His responsibilities included oversight of GE’s Oil & Gas, Power & Water, and Energy Management businesses, which employed more than 100,000 people in more than 165 countries and represented more than $50 billion in revenue. Mr. Krenicki held several leadership roles with GE prior to leading GE Energy, including President and CEO of GE Plastics and GE Transportation, and served as a director of GE Capital. Mr. Krenicki also serves as independent director of Devon Energy Corporation.

Mr. Malfettone joined CD&R in 2010. He leads the Firm’s portfolio procurement and portfolio insurance programs. Previously, he was Partner, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Compliance Officer for Oak Hill Capital Partners. Mr. Malfettone spent 12 years in senior leadership positions and as an officer at GE Capital serving as the Corporate Controller, Group CFO, and Managing Director in the private equity business. He also served as the EVP and CFO for MacDermid Inc. and as a Partner at KPMG Peat Marwick. He serves on the University of Connecticut Foundation Board of Trustees.

Based in London, he played the lead operating role in the Firm’s investment in SPIE and served as chairman of the supervisory board of Rexel during CD&R’s ownership of the company from 2005 to 2014. In addition, Mr. Quarta is chairman of WPP plc and Smith & Nephew plc. Prior to CD&R, he served as CEO of BBA Group plc from 1993 to 2001, leading the successful restructuring and reorganization of the company, and continued to serve as chairman from 2001 to 2006. Mr. Quarta also held various senior leadership positions with BTR plc and served on the board of directors.
