Transparency

We are committed to open communications with our key stakeholders – from investors to portfolio company employees to potential business partners. We believe that the better each group understands what our firm does and why, the stronger our relationships and reputation will become.

We also strongly believe that there is a critical need for a greater fact-based understanding of private capital. We provide all CD&R performance data to the Private Capital Research Institute, a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) corporation formed to further the understanding of private capital and its global economic impact through a commitment to the ongoing development of a comprehensive database of private capital fund and transaction-level activity supplied by industry participants.

As a member of the British Venture Capital Association (BVCA) and European Venture Capital Association (EVCA), we are committed to greater transparency in the private equity industry. We conform to the Walker Guidelines for Disclosure and Transparency in Private Equity on acomply or explain basis and work with CD&R’s U.K. portfolio companies to do the same, to the extent applicable. We are committed to ensure timely and effective communication with portfolio company employees, in particular at times of strategic significance, including any transactions involving that particular portfolio company, to the extent confidentiality constraints permit.
